In SmartVision, camera video playback uses hardware decoding on the client side. When streams are displayed on monitors, H.264 and H.265 are decoded by the GPU instead of the CPU. The processor handles coordination, the interface, and background tasks, while the main video decoding load is handled by the graphics card.
This is important because real-time viewing requires continuous decoding of multiple streams at the same time. If decoding is done only by the CPU, its usage quickly increases as more cameras are opened.
